Call of Duty Modern Warfare Update: PS4, Xbox playlist patch news - February 25 - Vg247

Here's what Activision and Infinity Ward have planned next for PS4, Xbox and PC players in Modern Warfare

It's that time of the week again: soon we'll be seeing Activision and Infinity Ward roll out a new update and change what you can play in the latest CoD game.
That's right, Call of Duty Modern Warfare's weekly playlist changeover is coming, marking the next rotation as the game soldiers on.

To that end, make sure you log in and wrap up everything you can so in the current playlists if you want to ensure you extract all the weapon kills and benefits you can from the current setup – it may be weeks before you can jump back into certain game modes.
As Activision and Infinity Ward announced in early January, modern Warfare drops a new update to the esteemed FPS game that alters the modes you have access to from the multiplayer menu on a weekly basis.
This is part of the weekly schedule that sees the developer and publisher make rolling changes to the game over three days per week.
Infinity Ward, currently, operates on this schedule:
  • Tuesday – Playlist updates
  • Thursday – Developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog
  • Friday – Community Update blog
With that in mind, here's what we know is going to change over the next 24 hours.

Modern Warfare – Playlist Rotation, February 25

The following modes will be replaced with other modes as of 6pm on February 25, 2020:
Playlist : 1v1 Rust
Playlist : Flotation Oxidation (Rust & Shipment 24/7)
Playlist : Reinforce NVG
Though we don't know what these modes will be replaced with until they go live, it's worth noting that whilst these modes may not be featured on playlists any more, we may still see them appear elsewhere in the game.

Early on in the game's life, for example, we saw 1v1 Gunfight appear on the featured playlist, replacing 2v2. However, 2v2 Gunfight remains available in the menus. Expect more variations on the game mode, with custom loadouts and conditions, as the game ages.
In terms of what's to come, it looks like Infinity Ward has some exciting stuff in the pipes.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare (PC) - 5/5

- Reviewed on PC
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC shines where past instalments have not, finally bringing uncapped frame rates, multi-monitor support and an FOV slider in the settings. Paired with multiplayer cross-play, you finally can’t go wrong with picking PC over a console copy.
The Good
  • Raytracing improves on already perfect visuals
  • Mouse and keyboard movement is responsive and adjustable
  • Support for much-requested PC features
The Bad
  • Laggy pre-rendered cutscenes
  • Raytracing doesn’t include reflection improvements

Modern Warfare – February 25 patch incoming?

As per the game's Trello board, we know that there are some fixed issues that'll be addressed in a future update.
Whether that'll land today remains to be seen, though.
Here are all the fixes that'll arrive in the next update.
